Title
Wake Transit Plan Update Presentation
Ben Howell, CAMPO Staff
Body
The Wake Transit Plan Update kicked off in January, extending the horizon of the Wake Transit Plan to 2035. The first phase of Public Engagement began in May and extends through June 21st. This Public Engagement phase is focused on the State of the Wake Transit Plan and gathering community input on the transit priorities that should be included in the Wake Transit Plan. Staff will present an update on the work completed to date, including the State of the Wake Transit Plan Report and the public engagement. The State of the Plan Report and a Summary of the State of the Plan have been attached, and both documents, as well as the Transit Priorities Survey, are available on the Wake Transit Plan Update project website at www.publicinput.com/waketransit2035 <http://www.publicinput.com/waketransit2035>. A flyer for the Transit Priorities Survey has also been attached.
To date, multiple pop-up events have been held throughout Wake County, as well as a Public Meeting and a Stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting. The Wake Transit Plan Update is lead by CAMPO staff, and guided by a Project Management, Core Technical Team, and Stakeholder Advisory Committee. Staff from Wake County jurisdictions and transit agencies serve on the Project Management Team and Core Technical Team, while elected officials, senior agency staff, citizens and representatives from nonprofits and other agencies serve on the Stakeholder Advisory Committee.
