Title
2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP/CTP) Update
Chris Lukasina, CAMPO Staff
Body
The Executive Board will receive an update on the development of the 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2055 MTP/CTP) continues. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan is the region’s long-range transportation plan and includes both a fiscally constrained element as well as an unconstrained vision plan element known as the Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP). As such, this plan serves as both the region’s federally recognized MTP and state recognized CTP. This plan is required to be regularly updated, and our region updates the plan every four years. A current development schedule has been included as an attachment. The preferred scenario was selected by the Executive Board at their June meeting based on the All Together scenario. At the September meeting, the Executive Board agreed with the TCC recommendation for both the new additional revenue alternative and associated multi-modal investment mix and initial fiscal constraint was applied to the preferred scenario. These results have been updated based on input received and has been attached to this agenda and made available online. This includes updated additional revenue assumptions and ongoing local input. At their November meeting, the TCC unanimously recommended approval of the 2055 MTP/CTP projects and programs pending Air Quality Conformity. Online draft plan materials have been updated, and the attachments have been updated to reflect these assumptions and input received through the TCC meeting. Staff will provide an update on the development of the current draft plan and fiscal constraint for the 2055 MTP. Next steps in the 2055 MTP development include:
• Conduct Public Hearing
• Review updated/refined fiscally constrained Preferred Scenario and draft plan. Materials are available HERE <https://www.campo-nc.us/transportation-plan/in-development-2055-mtp>
• Approval of the 2055 MTP/CTP projects and programs, pending Air Quality Conformity
Requested Action: Action Conduct public hearing. Consider approval of the 2055 MTP/CTP projects and programs, pending Air Quality Conformity.
