FY 2026 3rd Quarter Wake Transit Work Plan Amendment Requests

Wake Transit Work Plan amendment cycles are scheduled throughout the fiscal year to allow Wake Transit partners the opportunity to update project scopes, schedules, budgets and/or request funding for new projects or project phases. Five (5) amendment requests were submitted for consideration:
1. The City of Raleigh has requested two (2) amendments to modify the scope of two (2) bus acquisition projects to include 60-foot articulated buses in addition to 40-foot transit buses. These vehicles will be used to support new service investments and to replace older fleet that have exhausted their useful life. These amendments are scope only and have no financial impact.
2. The City of Raleigh has requested an amendment for an additional $1,750,000 to complete the land acquisition process for the relocation of the Triangle Town Center Transit Center, which will be renamed to the North Raleigh Transit Center
3. The City of Raleigh has requested an amendment for an additional $1,020,770 in art funding to develop, fabricate and install art along the Western Corridor Bus Rapid Transit Facility. This funding is being requested in accordance with the Wake Transit Art Funding Policy.
4. The Town of Knightdale has requested an amendment for an additional $107,800 in funding to complete the right-of-way acquisition phase for the Old Knight Road sidewalk project. The town received CFA funding in FY24 to design and construct crosswalks along Knightdale Boulevard and to design and acquire right-of-way for sidewalk gaps along Knightdale Boulevard and Old Knight Road. The funds requested reflect the town's local match of 49% and will come out of the CFA Program Reserve (TO005-Z)
