Triangle Transportation Choices (TDM) Plan Update - Interlocal Funding Agreement

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Integrated Mobility Division (IMD) and the Capital Area MPO (CAMPO) will enter into an interlocal funding agreement to enable NCDOT IMD, CAMPO, and the Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (TWTPO) to fund the NCDOT IMD’s work on managing the consultant contract for the Triangle Transportation Choices Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan update. A consultant has been selected through NCDOT IMD’s on-call procurement process, and a consultant contract will be executed upon Board approval of this interlocal funding agreement. This agreement, attached, between CAMPO and NCDOT is for a plan update totaling $208,000 of which CAMPO is contributing a total of $80,000 ($40,000 during FY 2027 and an additional $40,000 during FY 2028); and NCDOT IMD is contributing a total of $48,000. TWTPO is contributing $80,000 through a separate interlocal funding agreement with NCDOT IMD. This funding is anticipated to cover the consultant’s work to deliver the updated TDM plan. This funding is identified in the Unified Planning Work Program for FY 2027.
