Triangle Bikeway NEPA/Design - Interlocal Funding Agreement

Wake County and the Capital Area MPO will enter into a funding agreement to enable the County to fund the MPO’s work on managing the consultant contract for the Triangle Bikeway NEPA and Design work. This effort is still under procurement, and a consultant contract is anticipated to be included on a future Executive Board agenda this summer. This agreement, attached, between CAMPO and Wake County is for an amount of $5,180,000, which is anticipated to cover the consultant’s work to deliver NEPA and Design of the Triangle Bikeway facility between Raleigh and Research Triangle Park. The estimate for this work from the 2018 Triangle Bikeway Implementation Study is also attached. This funding is identified in the Unified Planning Work Program for FY 2024 and FY 2025.
Requested Action: Action Approve the Interlocal Funding Agreement and authorize the Executive Director to sign the agreement.
