NCDOT released the draft list of projects programmed with Regional Impact category funds on August 30, 2018. All Regional Impact projects that are not programmed are eligible for considering of programming with Division Needs funds, a process referred to as “cascading”. During September and October, the MPO will assign 2500 local input points to Division Needs and cascaded Regional Impact and Statewide Mobility projects.
The draft point assignment for the 2500 local input points for all transportation modes has been posted to the MPO’s website and the public review and comment period will be open until October 16, 2018. The staff will present revisions to the draft point assignment for Executive Board review and discussion. A public hearing is scheduled for the October 17, 2018 Executive Board meeting. The Executive Board will be asked to consider approval of the final point assignment at their October meeting.
The draft point assignment is included in the agenda packet and also posted to the CAMPO website.
Requested Action: Action Conduct Public Hearing. Consider approval of recommended Division Needs point assignment and direct staff to maximize coordination with Division Engineers which may result in point adjustments with Chair approval.
