Chris Lukasina, MPO Executive Director

Body

Staff will provide an update on the development of the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2050 MTP/CTP).  The update will focus on:

§                     Update on draft 2050 MTP/CTP report and approved projects/programs

§                     Anticipated 2050 MTP/CTP schedule and actions.

The CAMPO Executive Board approved the projects/programs for the 2050 MTP/CTP at their December 8, 2021 meeting.  The MPO staff has undertaken the necessary follow-on steps to complete the full 2050 MTP/CTP report document and required air quality conformity determination.  This includes items such as final network updates based on approved projects, final socio-economic and travel demand forecast model runs, air quality and environmental justice network analysis, performance measure analysis and report, air quality conformity determination, and document preparation.  The 2050 MTP webpage has continued to have the most current updates incorporated into the draft document. https://www.campo-nc.us/transportation-plan/2050-metropolitan-transportation-plan-mtp.  Final approval will include the SE Data, the previously approved 2050 MTP/CTP projects and financial plan, Goals, Objectives, Performance Measures & Targets, the air quality conformity determination, the full report, and the Triangle Regional Model (previously approved for planning purposes and MTP development).  A public hearing was held on January 19, 2022.  The TCC recommended final approval at the February 3, 2022 meeting.

Readers should note that there is an executive summary in the front of the full report and the last page of each chapter has a short summary of key points.
